View of a monument to the Minisink Battle. The plaque reads, "Erected by the Historical Societies of the Minisink Country and of the State of New York on the sesquicentennial of the battle. 1929." The top portion of the monument reads, "Erected on July 22, 1874," and "Dedicated to the memory of the patriots of the Minisink region who died here July 22, 1779 in the defense of American Liberty." Atop the monument sits a large boulder. |
