The Union Tree
The tree of liberty with a flag for each state including the Union states and the Confederate states. Each flag is labeled with the initials of each state. At the top and to the right reads, "THE UNION TREE" in red fancy capital letters. A verse below reads: "Traitor! spare that Tree, Cleave not a single bough, In youth it shelter'd me, And I'll protect it now." Red and blue ink on cream envelope, image on left side.
