The original typewritten caption reads: "No.11. This is a photograph of a McCormick Binder at work opening up a field of very heavy tangled barley, on the farm of the Hon. Wm. Dickens near Longmont, Colorado, showing residence and barns in the background. Mr. Dickens is one of the more extensive and wealthy farmers in the State of Colorado. He is also connected with the Farmer's Milling & Elevator Company in Longmont. He uses McCormick Machines in preference to any other, as being the ones making the best returns on his investment." The label on the back of the photograph reads: "Print No.: 323. Size: 11x14. Negative Case No.: 23. Duplicate Print Case No.: 7. Town: Longmont. State or Country: Colo. Agency: Billings, Denver." |
