Possibly the Merimac ferry. A cable guided ferry could not be used on the Mississippi River because of the large boats that navigate up and down the river. This photograph was taken for the Writer's Program to be used as an illustration for the book, "Wisconsin: A Guide To The Badger State". It can be found between pages 64 and 65. |
