John T. Anderson
Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of John T. Anderson, a corporal in Company A, 15th Wisconsin infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Boone County, Illinois. On October 17, 1861, he enlisted and was eventually mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on November 15, 1861. The muster rolls also state that he served as a guard on a supply train to Stevenson, Alabama and was hospitalized for a time in Nashville, Tennessee. On December 12, 1864, he mustered out of service as a corporal with Company A in Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
