Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Ludwig L.H. Hauge [as written on the published Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers, Volume 1; also written as Ludvig on Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20], a Wagoner in Company B, 15th Wisconsin Infantry, in uniform holding musket with fixed bayonet against his shoulder. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Sterling, Wisconsin. On January 25, 1862, he enlisted and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on January 27, 1862, at the age of 19. He mustered out with Company B on December 20, 1864, at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
