Louis Rolfson
Quarter-length portrait of Louis Rolfson, a private in Company C, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Norway, Wisconsin. On December 14, 1861, he enlisted and was mustered into service at Madison, Wisconsin on January 01, 1862, at the age of 22. He became missing in action on September 19, 1863, during the battle of Chickamauga, but was eventually regained. He was mustered out of service with C Company on December 31, 1864, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
