Daniel Anderson
Quarter-length oval studio portrait of Daniel Anderson, a private in Company D, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin. On December 27, 1861, he enlisted at Christiana, Wisconsin and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on January 11, 1862, at the age of 18. He was wounded in the right knee at Kennesaw Mountain, Georgia on July 2, 1864. He was mustered out of service with Company D on February 13, 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
