Cupid's Message
Valentine's Day card with three layers. The bottom layer is a large blue and white butterfly, and in the lower right is glued a banner with the text: "Cupid's Message." The middle layer has butterflies in blue and gold printed on heavy parchment paper. The top layer is a girl wearing a white dress with a blue sash, standing between two leaves. A large pansy flower is behind her. There is a paper "spring" between the top and bottom layers creating a three dimensional look. There is a paper easel on the back so the Valentine can stand vertically. Chromolithograph, embossed and die cut. |
