Women Polishing Truck Tires
Aileen Baumgardner of Merrillville, Indiana, is looking over the shoulder of Rusty Brda of Schiller Park, Illinois, as she is polishing the chrome discs on the wheel of a pink-colored IH CO-Transtar truck. The women were "Cameo Girls," saleswomen for the Cameo Retail Division of Bestline Incorporated; the company used International C-O-F4070A diesel cabs outfitted with 40-foot trailers to deliver its merchandise. |

Bestline Incorporated operated out of California and its Cameo Retail Division sold cleaning and home care items through in-home demonstration parties. The photograph was taken for the article entitled "IH Rolls in Bestline's New Woman's World," appearing in the Volume 42, Number 4, 1972 issue of "International Trail" magazine. The caption of a similar photograph reads, "Products the Cameo girls sell are defined as 'all purpose.' Here, Misses Baumgardner and Brda prove it by polishing the chrome discs on one of the new IH CO-Transtars. Bestline acquired the vehicles from Bohnen International, the Aurora, Ill. IH dealer." |
