McCormick Reaper Works
Illustration of the McCormick Reaper and Mower Works of 1847. The factory was located on the north bank of the Chicago River, east of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. It was built by Cyrus McCormick in cooperation with his then-partner Charles M. Gray. The factory was destroyed in the Chicago Fire of October 8-9, 1871. |
