Chicago Magicians Hijinks

Ben Bergor, a Madison area magician (standing third from the left), with a group of Chicago area magicians. Identified individuals are (seated, left to right) Johnny Platt, Jimmy Thompson, William Dornfield, George Troseth, Axel Helstrom, and Bob Letz. The identified individuals in the back row on either side of Bergor are Joe Berg and Laurence Ireland. This photograph is undated, but it may be a 1937 gathering of Chicago Society Association of Magicians at which Bergor was voted an honorary member. Bergor, who was said to have the fastest hands in the business, is shown doing one of his famous card tricks. |
