The original typewritten caption reads: "Model S International motor truck owned by the Wallace Poster Advertising Company, of Oswego, New York. It is utilized to haul regular posting equipment and is shown in front of a billboard on which the operators are working. The motor truck covers regular routes at stated intervals and operates over a radius of about twenty-four miles. At the time of taking the picture, March 21, 1925, the speedometer reading showed 2,400 miles. The driver, John Talbot, said that the truck operates economically and that it compares very favorably with any other of the many trucks that he has used. He likes International inspection and service. He declared that our service station at Auburn keeps his truck in A-1 shape. He told how he lost only one day this past winter (the day of the heaviest snow they have had in years). He covered his route during the thaw when water in some places reached the axles of the truck." |
