Alan (The Horse) Ameche, of Wisconsin, received the Extension Magazine's award of a gold football for being named to the All-Catholic, All-American team.  Shown here, left to right, are: Front row--Dr. Donald Bergenske, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus lodge, Mrs. Ameche and Alan Ameche. Back row--Casper LaVeer, Sun Prairie, field representative of Extension Magazine in the Madison area and Father Edward Bier of St. James, chaplain of the Madison Knights of Columbus lodge. The presentation was made at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse, 15 East Wilson Street.
