East High School Athletes And Principal
The retiring principal and former athletes at Madison East High School are honored at the East Side Business Men's Association (ESBMA), 2425 Atwood Avenue. They include, front row, left to right: Principal Foster S. Randle, retiring after being East High's only principal since the school opened in 1922; Leo Kronenberg, a tackle on the first two East football teams; Gary Messner, Wisconsin's 1954 football captain and one of East's more recent grid heroes. Back row, left to right: Archie Morrow, A.M. (Hunk) Barrett and Herbert (Butch) Mueller, East's only head football coaches in that order. |
