Andrew L. Fosse
Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Andrew L. Fosse, a private in Company H, 15th Wisconsin Infantry, in uniform. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Deerfield, Wisconsin. On October 17, 1861, he enlisted in Cambridge, Wisconsin. Then on February 13, 1862, he was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 26. On December 31, 1862 he was killed during the battle at Stone River, Tennessee. He was buried in the Stones River National Cemetery Section G, grave number 2669. |
