Roma Borst
Portrait of Roma Borst, a Spanish-language PhD candidate and a Spanish department teaching assistant. She lead long summer tours of Europe and traveled extensively. She ran and edited the Brooklyn Teller for seven months in 1944 and 1945 from her hometown of Brooklyn, Wisconsin. She had a Saturday morning program on WHA radio called "Musica Latina" and, when WHA-TV began operations on May 4, 1954, she had a weekly program called "Spanish for Travelers." Borst had a Spanish major and a Journalism minor. |
