McCormick Reaper Works

Engraving of the McCormick Reaper Works as it appeared in 1847. The factory was located on the north bank of the Chicago River, east of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. The factory was built in 1847 by Cyrus McCormick and his partner Charles M. Gray. The factory was destroyed in the Chicago Fire of October 8-9, 1871. |
