The original typewritten caption reads: "International Model D-426-F truck with Isaacson 20 Ton Trailer leaving the 'spar-tree' with a load of Douglas Fir logs which scaled 13,600 board feet. This represents, on the basis of 7 1/2 pounds per foot, a load on the truck and trailer of approximately 102,000 pounds. This is one of two International D-426-F trucks owned by Simpson Brothers of Sardis, B.C. These logging contractors also own an International TD-18 TracTracTor which can be seen in the background ground-skidding logs into the landing." |
