Women Sewing Canvas Folds at McCormick Works
Female workers sewing canvas side folds on binder aprons at International Harvester's McCormick Works. The McCormick Works was built by Cyrus McCormick in 1873 and became part of International Harvester in 1902. The factory was located at Blue Island and Western Avenues in the Chicago subdivision called "Canalport." It was closed in 1961. |
