Catholic Shrine of Mary

Four-year-old Tania Thousand lights a candle in front of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Green Scapula in the temporary chapel of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Monona. The shrine statue of Mary was carved by a Portuguese sculptor, Jose Tedim. Tania's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Thousand, attributed the nearly complete healing of her arm following a severe burn to often-repeated Green Scapular prayers to Mary. |
