Chariot Race Poster for "Ben Hur"

Beneath this is the title against a red filed, and on each side is a circular medallion: the one on the left reads "Of General Lew Wallace's" and on the right "Dramatized by William Young Music by Edgar Stillman Kelley." The image presents the famous chariot race, under which is the caption in caps: "Ben-Hur drives Sheik Ilderman's 'Stars of the Desert' to victory in the Antioch Circus, defeating his arch-enemy Messala." Scenes of the chariot race grace most of the extant posters from this run. The scene used real horses on treadmills.
