This map shows the Wisconsin Central Railroad lines in Wisconsin, northern Illinois, eastern Minnesota, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The area of the map shaded in red shows the railroad's land grants, from Ashland in the north to Colby in the south. County and state borders are outlined in thinner red lines. The map appeared in an 1898 handbook of Wisconsin Central Railroad lands.
