Wisconsin and Iowa Territories

A map of the Wisconsin and Iowa territories, with the surveyed counties of southern Wisconsin and eastern Iowa identified. The map shows the sectioning of the territories by counties and townships. It also identifies the location of a number of towns and forts in the area, such Fort Snelling, Fort Madison, Fort Winnebago, and the towns of Racine, Milwaukee, Monroe, Dubuque, and Oshkosh. In addition, the map identifies the locations of the different Native American tribes in the territory. The approximate scale of the map is 1:4,470,000. |
