Photograph and obituary written by Sydney S. McAllister appeared in the March-April 1936 issue of "Harvester World". The obituary reads, "...In his twenty years of Harvester service Mr. Kelly had not only endeared himself to all his fellow workers with whom his duties had brought him in contact but had established a record of distinguished achievement and had earned wide recognition as an outstanding member of his profession...Entering Harvester service in March, 1916, he was soon sent abroad as general auditor for Russia. In August, 1918, he was transferred to France and took an important part in the post-war rehabilitation of the Company's plant at Croix. He was recalled to the United States in February, 1920, and was soon afterward appointed assistant comptroller in charge of general accounting. In April, 1927, he was appointed first assistant comptroller, and in June, 1928, was elected comptroller." |
