Hotel Menard on Main Street

Exterior view of Hotel Menard, a three-story building with what appears to be brick and wood siding. Looking down Main Street West, what used to be called Second Street West, the front facades of the other buildings and storefronts are visible. Signs on the buildings read "Hotel Menard," "Bus Depot, Washburn, Bayfield," "Menard Coffee Shop," "Grill," and "Schlitz on draught." There is one automobile parked on Main Street and more are parked along the road on the right, Chapple Avenue. Hotel Menard was located at 701 Second Street West (today this would be the corner of Main Street West and Chapple Avenue) and is listed in the Ashland City Directory from 1926 to 1956. |
