This map of Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota shows the status of United States land surveys. It shows limited rivers and lakes. The map also shows the locations of Fort Snelling and Fort Gaines in Minnesota, Menominee and Oneida Reservations in Wisconsin, Winnebago [Ho-Chunk] reservation near Mankato, "Chipeway land" [Ojibwe] in northern Minnesota, and Stockbridge and Brothertown Indians on the shore of Lake Winnebago.
