Bedroom at Nature Lovers Paradise
Interior view of a bedroom in a cottage at Nature Lovers Paradise on Jackson Lake, Bayfield County. In the bedroom a bed frame, box spring, end table and lamp are visible. Text with the photograph says, "Bedroom. Dressing table homemade with white oilcloth top. Plate glass mirror of finest quality. Shelves in medicine cabinet for toilet articles. 300 candle-power gas lamp for the main room; good quality oil lamps for night light in each bedroom. All windows have screens. Simmons steel beds. Finest double coil springs obtainable. Each bedroom holds two comfortably; and as there are two bedrooms each cottage will very COMFORTABLY hold four people --- 4 ladies; or 4 men; or two couples without children; or one couple with a maid or cook, or a family with children; if there are five in a family we will put an extra cot on the porch, but we will not rent a cottage for more than five people as it makes it too crowded. In case there are more than 5 to a party better rent two cottages and then invite enough to make the party number eight." Located within the Chequamegon National Forest, Jackson Lake is a 142-acre drainage lake with a navigable outlet channel to Namakagon Lake – which is a 3,227 acre drainage lake at the headwaters of the Namakagon River in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. |
