On the left, "Honor Picket Line/Meat Cutters Supports Grape Boycott/National Farm Workers (NFW)/AFL-CIO." Behind Martinez is a caravan with NFW signs with the Aztec eagle symbol and message "Boycott Grapes." The caravan transported picketers from Appleton to Neenah for a weekend picket. Grape boycotts in Wisconsin were organized by the local farm-worker labor union, Obreros Unidos (United Workers), an independent farm worker labor union effort in the 1960s.
