Potter's biography reads: "Keith R. Potter was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, on June 24, 1917. He was educated in the public schools of Baltimore, attended Johns Hopkins University, and received his law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1940. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1941 and served with it until 1947, leaving the service with the rank of Captain. Mr. Potter joined International Harvester in May 1947, as a trainee. In 1948, he was appointed a zone collector at the Baltimore District Sales Office. He was appointed assistant credit manager at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1949, and was transferred to Philadelphia in the same capacity in 1956. In June, 1958, Mr. Potter was transferred to the General Office as a staff assistant in the Treasury Department. He was promoted to manager of Bank Relations in 1960. He was appointed assistant treasurer on January 18, 1962. He was elected treasurer of the Company on April 21, 1966." |
