Bridal Gowns

Wedding gowns representing the fashions of 73 years were presented in a bridal show sponsored by the Madison chapter of the Alumnae Association of Edgewood College. Elizabeth Maloof, left, models the royal blue and ecru gown which Ann Schulenberg wore for her marriage on May, 1, 1900. Mary Hubanks, right, models the dress of forest green changeable taffeta and beige pongee which Elizabeth Hollfelder wore for her marriage on June 6, 1905. Both gowns have leg of mutton sleeves, heavily lined skirts, and fine details characteristic of the wedding dresses of that era. |
