Infirmed Man in Bed

A man is lying in bed, covered to his chin in bedding and propped up by pillows. On the right side of the bed is a large bible and a rosary. The room is richly decorated with a large wooden headboard and wallpaper. Beside the man is a table with tablecloth on which is sitting a religious shrine. There is also a glass candle holder in the shape of a cross, what appears to be an ink well and pen, and another jar. Above the table are two religious paintings and a lamp with a card attached to the side of the glass shade. This man may have been an employee at International Harvester's Osborne Works in Auburn, New York. |
