This 1909 chart of the Apostle Islands, Chequamegon Bay, and the Lake Superior shoreline shows relief by contours and spot heights and depths by contours, gradient tints and soundings. It includes printed compasses, notes on authorities, latitudes, longitudes, soundings, water areas and depths, magnetic variations, water elevations, sailing directions, abbreviations, scales, and opening and closing of navigation. Also shown are lighthouses, docks at Ashland and other locations, railroads, roads, quarries, businesses, shoreline vegetation, and streams flowing into Lake Superior. |
