Living Room of Thompson House

Interior of a home taken by a civil rights volunteer. "The living room at the Thompson's. Actually, the room was somewhat misleading since the other rooms were quite unlike this one and in need of repair. My bedroom, for example, leaked in three different places during rain. The hospitality, the kindness, and concern which the Thompsons showed toward me, however, meant more to me than the more comfortable quarters in Hattiesburg." |
