Woman on Porch, Golds Alley
"The 69 year-old woman on the front porch lives alone at the bottom of this unpaved, unlighted, ungraded alley. The building next to her is empty. She heats with wood. Her toilet is 30 yards behind her house over a rough trail." The Golds Alley neighborhood houses 16 families, 41 people, in 13 buildings. The majority of homes have no indoor plumbing, and the entire neighborhood shares 12 outhouses. |
