View, De Marco Alley
"A water faucet located at the top of the hill (the upper end of the alley) behind the boy is used by eleven families, 28 people, who live in the buildings below. It's a long walk." View down alley, with two children, and a chicken, in the foreground. In the background two women, obscured by columns, sit on a porch, and on the other side of the alley a man sits on another porch. The De Marco Alley neighborhood houses 73 people in 18 buildings connected with dirt roads. Tenants share 6 outhouses and 1 outdoor flush toilet, as well as 10 water hydrants (1 indoors). |
