SUMMARY
This four-block district on College Avenue between Superior and Morrison streets include 28 commercial buildings. Built mostly of brick between 1857 and 1932 in two or three stories and in a variety of architectural styles, the area contains some outstanding 1920s and 1930s Art Deco chrome and Carrara glass, and some Prairie School style facades. Also included is the Soldiers Square Monument. The end of the period of significance for this district is 1951, incorporating the several story addition to the Zuelke Building.
