This six-acre district in the Chequamegon National Forest, adjacent to the Mondeaux Flowage, includes four camp-grounds, picnic areas, shelters, a dam, and three buildings: the Bath & Club House, caretaker's dwelling, and garage/repair shop. Developed between 1936 and 1938 and administered by the USDA Forest Service, the project was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and assisted by local workers funded by the Works Projects Administration. |
