Located at the southern end of Iola Lake next to the Little Wolf River, the district includes a one-story engine house built of rubblestone in 1898; the site of the former saw mill; a one-story mill office built c. 1900; and the two-story flour and saw mill built in 1860 with flanking additions built in 1898. Complete with original machinery and operating historic water power system, the district is now a museum.
