This ten-block district, which lies between the Mishicot (East Twin) River and Lake Michigan, is made up of a riverfront docking and boat servicing area, fishing sheds and warehouses, a few retail stores and more than 20 residences all of wood frame construction by local craftsmen. The area was settled between 1855 and 1920 by French Canadian families representing 150 years of the fishing industry. |
