SUMMARY
This is the last remaining portion of the original German retail district in the Kilbourntown plat of Milwaukee. These three city blocks of 15 historic buildings include retail stores, restaurants, and a sausage factory. The two- to five-story structures, built between 1855 and 1910, represent a Victorian era streetscape of fine Italianate, Victorian Gothic, and Romanesque influences commercial buildings.
