NOTES
Additional Information:2024: Contributing to the proposed Racine Street Historic District. The George Blair House is a two-story, Italianate-style house constructed in 1858. It has a rectilinear footprint, clapboard siding, and is topped by a truncated hip roof sheathed in asphalt shingles. The roof has overhanging eaves and paired brackets. Fenestration includes a mixture of original, two-over-two, double-hung wood windows and single-light, wood picture windows with diamond-paned transoms. The windows have simple wood surrounds with triangular arches and are symmetrically arranged. The primary, south façade is symmetrically arranged with window bays flanking the primary entrance, which contains a replacement door set within a simple wood surround. A one-story porch spans the façade and wraps around the east (side) elevation. At the time of survey, an extension of the porch was being constructed along the west elevation. The porch is topped by a half-hip roof with overhanging eaves that are supported by Tuscan columns and a simple wood balustrade.
