| Additional Information: | 1998- The Milwaukee U.S. Army Reserve Center consists of 2 buildings on approximately 6 acres of land. The buildings include a training and administration building and an vehicle maintenance shop (Organizational Maintenance Shop or OMS in Army Reserve terminology). The training and administration building, constructed in 1958, is a 2-story L-shaped building set on a foundation of poured concrete. The walls are built of concrete block and are faced with cream brick. The building has a flat roof. There is an external smokestack at the rear of the building. The building's main section houses office and classrooms, while there is a drill hall section toward the rear. The drill hall section features a bay entrance with a metal overhead retractable door. Windows areas are recessed and feature aluminum-framed windows in sets of four. the entryway features a projecting porch with a recessed doorway. |
