Cupola has been removed. Dr. Ray H. Rice operated a hospital in this building from 1904-1924. 2024: Two story, Italianate style residence constructed in 1856. House has original four-over-four and six-over-six windows with flat or round arches and some have pediments. Circular transom window above main entrance and bay window on west elevation. Exterior metal stairs lead to second story entrance. There is a three-stall, front-gabled garage clad in vinyl siding northeast of the house. Constructed for Dr. Von Suessmilch and subsequently used by Dr. Ray H. Rice and Dr. Charles A Wright as a local hospital. It was later used by the Christian Life Center. |
