| Additional Information: | LANCET WINDOWS AND ENTRY. PHOTO OBSCURED BY TREES. 2024: Early Gothic Revival-style church constructed in 1879. The church has a cream brick exterior and cross-gabled roof sheathed in asphalt shingles. The south-facing facade consists of a steeply pitched center gable flanked to the west by a three-story, square tower. Main entrance is flanked by brick pilasters with stone caps and Gothic arch, stained-glass windows. It is composed of Tudor-arched wood doors with a Gothic-arched transom window. Centered above the entrance is a clerestory storm window with simple tracery that shields the more elaborate, original tracery window beneath. A side-gabled bay on the west elevation connects the church to an addition that includes a circular, five-sided chapel. On the east elevation, another side-gabled entrance bay connects the church to a c.1965, flat roofed addition. Fenestration is primarily original, stained-glass windows with Gothic arches and decorative tracery. |
