| Additional Information: | Chas. Druse was the builder. This structure is an excellent example of a Victorian commercial building. In fine condition, it retains its original form and design. 1973: "The John C. Wolter Block was designed by a popular south side architect, Andrew Elleson, and was constructed to serve its owner as a double store with dwellings above. It retains its original purpose today. Alterations and Additions: There are no permits on file for any major alterations or additions. Both the exterior store front and the interior have been modernized." Builder: Charles F. Druse." |
