NOTES
Additional Information:2 GABLED DORMERS FLANKING ROUND ARCHED DORMERBAY ON FRONT This two story residence rests on a brick foundation and is topped with a side gabled roof. Similar to the William Pearson Residence (see discussion for 133 N. Martin Street), this residence features a pair of steeply pitched, gabled wall dormers, each surrounding a single sash window with a triangular windowhood and lined with decorative wooden trim. However, this example also carries a central, round-arched dormer that encompasses a pair of round-arched windows. Centered beneath this arrangement is a rectangular bay window with bracket and dentil trim. Two, single sashes lie to the south of the bay, while an open porch shelters the entrance with sidelights and transom to the north. All three window openings along the north gabled endwall are covered by wooden shutters; a replacement porch is evident along both the first and second levels of the rear (east) wing; a modern, sliding glass door is located along this elevation as well.

Judson Wright built this residence between 1884 and 1885. Wright was born in Wales, New York, in circa 1824 and came to Sharon in 1860. Judson was the senior member of the agricultural-related firm of the Wright Bros. Wright maintained ownership of the home until at least 1911. In 1937, Dorothy Perring is noted as the owner.

Previously surveyed in 1981 and mapped as 58 on Sharon DOT map. Since 1981, the house, which was covered with asphalt siding, has been re-sheathed with vinyl. A few windows are currently in the process of being replaced in 2005.
