NOTES
Additional Information:MODILLIONS UNDER EAVES. PENT GABLES. DORIC COLUMNS ON PORCH. Rising from a rusticated, concrete block foundation, this two and one half story residence is sheathed with aluminum and is topped with a side gabled roof. A pair of gabled and pedimented dormers break the roofline along its primary (north) facade, while flat, modillion-like ornament lines the underside of the overhanging eave. An open porch with fluted columns and a replacement balustrade shelters the first floor; the elevation of which consists of a single, central door and a single, sash window to either side. The upper level carries a central pair of windows with diamond paned upper sashes, as well as a single sash window to either side. Windows throughout the remainder of the home are regularly arranged, single sash examples.

This house was previously surveyed in 1974 (mapped as 48 on DOT SHARON) and was then sheathed with clapboard. It has since been re-sheathed with aluminum siding. Tax rolls indicate that the house was built between 1906 and 1907 and the owner was Mrs. Kate Sarles (?Searles). By 1911, the house was under the ownership of B.M. Peterson.
