NOTES
Additional Information:This one-story commercial building was constructed around 1905. The building has a modern storefront with a recessed entry. The building retains its original configuration of transoms. Above, the façade is clad in clapboards and has a central section with modest pediment. The façade appears to have been altered since the mid-1980s. Based on historic maps and city directories, the building appears to have been built by G.W. Nierade, owner of the adjoining building at 839 W. National Ave., perhaps as a speculative property. 835 W. National Ave. does not appear to have been associated with the Nierade meat market.
