NOTES
Additional Information:Resurveyed 2021. This Commercial Vernacular building is made up of four different portions, originally identified as 2209 W. National Ave. (AHI #103971); 2211 W. National Ave. (AHI #103977); and 2213-15 W. National Ave. and 2217 W. National Ave. (both included in (AHI #103982). The oldest portions, the two story meat market at 2213-15, and a one story plumber's shop at 2211, were both built before 1894. Around 1927, the one story portion with the shaped parapet was added at 2209. At an unknown date before 1951, the portion at 2217 was added. The current group of buildings has a brick first story; all of the former storefront openings have been filled with textured concrete block. The second story of the west half (the 2213-15 and 2217 portions) are clad in simulated masonry. 2213-15 has double hung windows set into blind arched openings, as well as a stepped parapet. 2217 has a curved parapet and a square corner turret with a blind window.
